SUBJECT: Release and Implementation of the MDC Mission Planner

1. Purpose. This memorandum announces the release of the MDC Mission Planner, a standardized mission planning tool now operational and available for use by 455th vAEW personnel.
2. Scope. The MDC Mission Planner is currently F-16 specific and is intended to support standardized flight planning and Mission Data Cartridge (MDC) generation for F-16 operations conducted by the 455th vAEW.
3. Background. The MDC Mission Planner provides a centralized, web-based solution for planning F-16 sorties using a standardized MDC format. The tool also generates an accompanying Data Transfer Cartridge (DTC) file, ensuring mission data loaded into the aircraft accurately reflects the approved mission plan.
4. Capabilities. The MDC Mission Planner provides the following capabilities:
   
   a. Standardized MDC Planning. Enables consistent MDC configuration across all planned F-16 sorties.
   
   b. DTC Export Capability. Supports export to DCS-DTC version 8.2.1 for direct use during mission execution.
   
   c. Mission Save and Template Functionality. Allows missions to be saved for future use, reused as templates, and modified to support rapid planning of recurring or follow-on flights.
   
   d. Web-Based Access. Requires no local installation and is accessible via standard web browser.
5. Access and Use. The MDC Mission Planner is available at: *Clear you cookies before accessing the page the first time.

   Basic use is as follows:
   
   a. Access the site and create a new mission or load an existing mission.
   b. Populate required MDC mission planning data.
   c. Export the associated DTC file upon completion.
   d. Save missions or templates as required to support future operations.
6. Implementation Guidance. Effective immediately, personnel planning F-16 sorties within the 455th vAEW are strongly encouraged to utilize the MDC Mission Planner to promote standardization, improve mission continuity, and reduce planning overhead.
7. Future Development. This release represents the initial operational capability of the MDC Mission Planner. Feedback, issue reports, and feature requests are encouraged to support continued development and future expansion.
