With the ferry flight from Nellis to Rovaniemi completed, the Expeditionary Wing is now established at Rovaniemi Air Base and additional regional facilites. This thread is intendend to give general information about the mission, current phase of the operation, technical considerations and where to find further information. As always, feedback and wishes are highly appreciated.
The entire Wing is currently deployed to EFRO - Rovaniemi Air Base, Finland. Our usual training sorties, which used to be started from Nellis, are now starting from EFRO. We deployed to this region due to rising tentions with neighboring Russia, however we are not (yet) at war. This means the active server for Operation Arctic Guardian is AO1. Mission name should look like this: "455_Kola_XX", with XX being the revision.
I recommend a FAM/LAO flight for every member of the group in the region. The provided IFG should assist with that.

Coordination for flights can be arranged as usually. Flights are free to navigate within Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian and international airspace. The 48th vRQS can spawn in EFRO for normal operations, but I also added spawn points at Vidsel Air Base for training on the ranges. A FARP at Point C is also ready to supply and refuel. JTAC units are available on the ranges for CAS operations.

Please be aware that AWACS might track Russian aircraft within Russian air space, which is then shown on datalink. Can be ignored. Please also note that Russian SAM sites are not setup in the MDC for now.
